Kyle Sanders, principal at Chamber Hill Strategies, is known for his creative approach to advocacy and his ability to cultivate meaningful, professional relationships with stakeholders across the political spectrum.
Most recently, Kyle was Legislative Director and Counsel for Rep. David Rouzer (R-NC), where he managed a comprehensive legislative portfolio including health care, tax, and transportation issues. He also oversaw policy initiatives associated with Rep. Rouzer’s chairmanship on the Livestock and Foreign Agriculture Subcommittee, the Natural Resources Committee, and the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee. Kyle previously served as legislative staff for Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD), a physician and member of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Health and Human Services.
In the health care space, Kyle worked to ensure the successful launch of the bipartisan House Primary Care Caucus in 2015. Kyle championed this forum to discuss and promote policies aimed at reducing health care costs and increasing quality of care.
In the tax arena, Kyle drafted and helped shepherd the Combat-Injured Veterans Tax Fairness Act of 2016 through Congress. Now law, the bill aims to protect severance payments of combat-injured veterans.
Kyle also had success working on major transportation legislation during his tenure on Capitol Hill. He drafted legislative provisions in the Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation (WIIN) Act that enhanced safety in local maritime channels and improved conditions for coastal commerce.
Kyle began his work in advocacy by serving as an Assistant District Attorney in his home state of North Carolina. In his free time, Kyle serves on the board of the North Carolina Society of Washington.
Kyle received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a J.D. from the Florida Coastal School of Law.
