Senior Associate – Health Care

Summary

This position is responsible for developing and managing the public policy agendas of the clients of Chamber Hill Strategies.  The Senior Associate maintains visibility with Federal policymakers and policy influencers by establishing and growing relationships with members of Congress, Congressional staff, political appointees and civil servants of the Administration, and advocacy stakeholders.

Job Description

  • Collaborate closely with the firm’s partners, principals, and associates to achieve the public policy goals of the firm’s clients
  • Develop public policy agendas and advocacy strategies
  • Advocate on behalf of clients
  • Analyze Federal legislative and regulatory proposals and assess their impact on the clients
  • Draft communications for clients including talking points and leave-behind materials, congressional testimony and media statements, responses to policy proposals, and meeting and teleconference agendas
  • Gather and communicate information of value and relevance to the public policy agenda of clients

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in political science, legislative affairs, or related field
  • Current and established relationships with Republican lawmakers and staff
  • Working knowledge of current healthcare legislation and regulations
  • Master’s degree and/or JD preferred
