Associate

Summary

This position is responsible for assisting with the development and management of Federal advocacy strategies for the clients of Chamber Hill Strategies. As part of these responsibilities, the Associate will evaluate pending legislation, regulations, and stakeholder agendas that may impact the firm’s clients. The Associate will draft correspondence and communications related to specific policy issues and client-related matters.

Job Description

  • Work closely with the firm’s partners, principals, and associates to support the public policy needs of the firm’s clients
  • Attend and analyze Congressional hearings and other public meetings of the Federal government and produce written reports for internal and external audiences
  • Synthesize public policy research into firm reports and presentations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4-5 years of experience in political science, legislative affairs, or related field. The experience can be gained from working on Capitol Hill, advocacy associations, or government affairs in the private sector
  • Excellent written communication skills
