On January 24, 2025, the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission (MACPAC) met for Day 2 of their January 2025 meeting. During the meeting, Commissioners voted on five recommendations for the March report to Congress related to external quality review (EQR) reporting and protocols, provisional plans of care, and the renewal period for home and community-based services (HCBS). Additionally, MACPAC staff delivered a presentation on the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) Model.

On January 23, 2025, the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission (MACPAC) met for Day 1 of their January meeting. Topics ranged from medication coverage for opioid use disorder to home and community based services (HCBS) to access to care for children with behavioral health needs.

On December 13, 2024, MedPAC held its second meeting today and addressed key issues in three critical areas of health care services: home health care, hospice, and outpatient dialysis.

Three of the day’s four sessions focused on various topics related to home- and community-based services (HCBS) in Medicaid while the final session of the day reviewed highlights from the 2024 edition of MACStats.

On December 12, 2024, the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC) met to discuss preliminary findings and draft recommendations to Congress for the March 2025 Report to Congress. The March report contains Medicare update recommendations and findings on payment adequacy for seven different Medicare payment systems.
